Yup, that was probably me! LOL I’m a bad blogger! Facebook just seems to be so much more “in the moment” and I’m afraid I’ve fallen off the blogger wagon this year. It seems that I’ve had something going on every month and sometimes several things in one month. My heart and soul have been filled with so much love, friendship and inspiration and I want to thank everyone whose path I’ve crossed this year and hope to cross again in 2014 for an amazing year.
Here’s a sampling of my adventures. . .
JANUARY brought a surprise visit from Miss Charlene when she came out for a short stay with Vickie. We managed to squeeze in dinner, a sleep over and a trip to Matilda’s Mouse Valentine sale, On the Wings of Love, where we met up with Joy.
FEBRUARY is my annual Valentine’s sushi date with my girl Melissa.
MARCH was The Vintage Marketplace’s quarterly sale
This is my absolute favorite of the show designed by Debbie of Blossoms Vintage Chic! This Manni chandy had my name all over it but a huge boo boo face with no where to put her! I’m sure she went to a good home.
Spring Glitterfest never disappoints with a wonderful selection of handcrafted and vintage items. These are two of my faves from the show; a soldered manni sculpted piece by Crystal Basica, of Vintage Fairy Finds and this stunning book made from a silver serving tray by Michelle Hurtt.
New Orleans – this year’s trip was just for visiting so no photos to share only full hearts to tide us over until the next visit.
MARCH/APRIL Round Top – There were five of us this year, our fearless leader Charlene, Joy and the newbies, Laurie and Vickie. We had a blast and Charlene had planned an extensive tour of some other Texas cities for us to visit. Before heading home, we went on to Gruene, Fredericksburg & San Antonio. WE MISSED YOU SO MISS CINDY!
MAY Vickie and I signed up for a 2-day Joanna Pierotti class held on Coronado Island at Art Retreat by the Beach. Inside the Fair’s Dream – what a fabulous project!
JUNE Diana Frey’s Petite Retreat “Let Them Eat Cake” and Remnants of the Past in San Luis Obispo.
Vickie, Diana and Cynthia surprised me with a sushi birthday lunch.
Which was followed by some local antique shopping where we came across this amazing Mercedes replica car and the owner let us borrow vintage hats and climb in for a photo op!
JULY was Matilda’s Mouse Gatsby sale
AUGUST was a four day crafting marathon in SLO including the grand opening of Willow Nest with Charlene, Diana Frey, Diana Salvucci, & Vickie.
SEPTEMBER started with a Labor Day wedding in Newport Beach. Yes, Ronnie does actually exist! LOL
The Vintage Marketplace was HOT HOT HOT!
On the last day of Sept, Joy and I headed to Seattle to meet up with Cindy, Charlene and Vickie for a sleep over at Laurie’s stunning dream home in Gig Harbor.
This is the “J Room” Joy and I shared! We were truly in heaven!
OCTOBER We we all off to drive from Gig Harbor to Lincoln City, Oregon for Terry Brush’s Art Camp. Of course, there were several vintage shopping stops along the way! We met up with Diana Frey, Diana Salvucci, Jan Petek and Doreen Orlando completing our group of 10! We had the little blue house on the right all to ourselves and did we ever have a slumber party! wink wink
As soon as we got home, we were off to Glitterfest
and Matilda’s Mouse Frightful Frolic.
NOVEMBER was a quick trip to SLO for Remnants of the Past and a visit with Diana Frey. Of course, we shopped our way there, stopping at Bacara in Santa Barbara for lunch and to enjoy the fabulous weather.
There were four of us in an SUV rental and we barely had enough room on the way home even though we were minus Diana who stayed behind for an extra day of fun! LOL
DECEMBER – This is what you get when you mix a slim Christmas tree, a wire manni and just a “little” bling at Casa Navarro!
We spent a COLD weekend (for spoiled Cali girls) at the last Vintage Marketplace of the year and met up with Cynthia, Jan, Joy & Laurie. They had the most fabulous pink photo booth set up for all the shoppers and we all squeezed in!
We did some speed shopping and then caravanned to Matilda’s Mouse.
Then a few of us headed back to Joy’s new house for a weekend of wintery crafting fun. Laurie and Vickie stayed in Joy’s fabulous guest house/studio and Diana and I were RV roomies parked right next door.
